Bravo Les Filles (600m, 8b) – the first female free ascent of a 1999 route
In 1999, the all-star team of Nancy Feagin, Lynn Hill, Kath Pike and Beth Rodden established a multipitch route on the stunning walls of Tsaranoro Kelly. They did it ground-up and managed to free all but one pitch. Over the years, the line saw only a few free ascents, all by male climbers, who confirmed its spicy character with long run-outs, technical and physical sections, and pitches up to 60 meters long.
Finally, after 26 years, Sasha DiGiulian and Marianna Ordóñez picked up where their female predecessors left off, adding the missing piece to the story with the long-awaited first female free ascent.
